Andalusia is one of the warmest regions in Europe. Winters are mild and summers are hot. Especially in the interior you can enjoy the Spanish sun all year round. We can certainly see why this is a popular holiday destination!

In Andalusia you can also taste the most delicious tapas and admire historical buildings, which often have an Arabic architectural style. This versatile region has all the ingredients for a cultural and/or sunny holiday!

Buzzing seaside resorts for a sun holiday in Andalusia

Sun worshippers have come to the right place in Andalusia. You will find many seaside resorts where you can fully enjoy the sun, sea and sand. The larger resorts on the Costa del Sol, part of Andalusia, are particularly popular. You can enjoy a carefree holiday in Torremolinos under the Spanish sun. You will find four beaches there, so there is no shortage of space! The clear blue sea invites you to take a refreshing dip. You can pick up a nice souvenir in the shops along the promenade.

Beach lovers can also indulge in Marbella. The beautiful, golden beaches are perfect for a relaxing sun holiday in Andalusia. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy various water sports here, such as water skiing, windsurfing and diving.

Another highlight of our selection is lively Málaga. Here you have a choice of no less than fifteen different beaches. In addition to relaxing in the sun, you can settle down in one of the many beach bars and restaurants. You could easily spend an entire day here!

The best Andalusian cities

In addition to seaside resorts, Andalusia boasts wonderful cities where you can enjoy endless culture. You can find these gems in the interior of Spain, where you can get to know local tapas and admire historic buildings (mostly in the Arabic architectural style). Seville, the capital of Andalusia, is one of the most popular destinations for a Spanish city break. Impressive historical buildings, narrow streets and unique shops alternate with each other. You are guaranteed to fall in love with the city!

The city of Cordoba is also definitely worth a visit during your holiday in Andalusia. Culture lovers can visit the Mezquita, a huge cathedral that was once a mosque. In the surrounding streets you will find charming shops, authentic restaurants and small theatres where you can enjoy flamenco music. After all, if Andalusia is famous for anything, it is this style of music.

Granada is the city where nature lovers can indulge themselves. The surrounding Sierra Nevada mountain range is perfect for a good hike! In the city you will also find the world-famous Alhambra fortress, which is one of the most important sights in Andalusia.
