The best time to visit Lanzarote
The Canary Islands are located west of the African coast and are therefore closer to the equator than other Spanish destinations. This means that the islands – including Lanzarote! – are attractive all year round. Which month is right for you depends on your preferences:
Are you looking for a beach holiday? Then mid-June to the end of September is the best time to visit Lanzarote. It is the warmest and driest period of the year. There is always a breeze, but honestly, that cool breeze can be a relief on hot days.
Do you alternate beach time with day trips? Then March through mid-June and October through December are the most suitable. For example, the maximum temperature in November is around 23°C. Not bad, right?
In January and February, maximum temperatures reach 20°C. Too cool to swim? Not at all. Make sure you book a hotel with a heated pool during these months.
